A Twin Cities Family & Wedding Photographer
Photos that feel like you.
Hi, I'm Ashley Morehouse.
I'm a photographer, mom, professional kid-wrangler and firm believer that some of the best photographs happen about three seconds after everyone stops trying to take a good photograph.
I started NorthHouse because photographs have this strange ability to make ordinary moments important.
And that's what I'm looking for when I'm behind the camera - the little moments that make it yours.
My approach is relaxed and gently directed. I'll step in when you need guidance and give the real moments room to unfold.
What I do
01.
Family
Perfect behavior not required.
We'll get the everyone-looking-at-the-camera photo for Grandma. But we'll also get the belly laughs, bear hugs, ridiculous kid personalities and the little ways your family loves each other when nobody's trying too hard.
Come as you are, I'll take care of the rest.
02.
Weddings
The portraits you'll frame. The moments you didn't know I saw.
Your wedding day will be filled with moments you've dreamed about - and so many you never could have planned. I'll give you direction when you need it while leaving room for the laughter, happy tears, quiet moments and everything in between.
03.
Maternity
Before you meet them, there's this.
The anticipation. The excitement. The way your family looks right now, just before everything changes again. Maternity sessions are relaxed, beautiful, and centered around the connection that's already there.
04.
Newborn + Baby
Tiny details. Big changes. A year that goes way too fast.
From those first sleepy weeks to sitting, crawling, belly laughs and first birthdays, these sessions preserve the little things you swear you'll never forget - until somehow they're not so little anymore.
Don't see the session you're looking for?
Engagements, extended families, seniors and select branding sessions are also available. Tell me what you have in mind!
Because someday, these will be the good old days.
Why hire a family photographer?
The missing teeth. The belly laughs. The way they still reach for your hand. The silly little things they do that you swear you'll remember forever.
And then somehow they grow.
Family photos aren't about perfectly behaved kids or everyone looking at the camera. They're about holding onto a version of your family that won't exist quite like this again.
So let them be silly. Let them snuggle. Let them run wild.
I'll make sure you remember how it felt.
